Precisely for this reason, in the relationship between wine producer and consumer, many times misunderstandings, certainly due to the difficulty of understanding some scientific implications behind some choices or the need by some to use sustainability as a marketing tool instead of as a company policy devoted to respect for the environment and nature.
Firriato has therefore chosen for several years to refer to ISO international standards, third party certifications and verifications by an accredited certification third party, with the aim of putting in place an environmental sustainability that respects the state of the art of science, rigorous measurement of results, continuous improvement, but above all, truthfulness and transparency towards those who give us credibility
The importance of a third party certification
The importanceA certification is a very simple and very important concept. It is based on three main aspects: the application of a standard, the commitment by the organization to respect it and an accredited third party which carries out rigorous checks in order to verify that the the first two points are respected. This results in a credibility on the part of our winelover who, looking at the certificate, has the certainty that what Firriato asserts is a verified truth, not a simple statement that could also be subject to involuntary errors.
The certifications to which we adhere in terms of environmental sustainability are defined as “voluntary”, that is to say we are committed to respecting the standards and subjecting ourselves to the control and certification processes in order to guarantee those who choose our bottle that the our commitment to environmental sustainability is a constant obligation in which we put our utmost zeal.
